Last night was the last Fair Go programme for the year. Their main item was about a couple in the South Island who had problems with their home and the builder who they said would not rectify it. Three months ago the couple had gone to the programme for help. Amazingly enough, many members of the community got together to help the couple rebuild their home. It just demonstrates to me the amazing sorts of people around.
People often talk about the cowboys and the criminals in the community. But they forget that people like that really are the minority.
So in today's blog, I just wanted to congratulate those people who gave their time and resources to that couple. You really do show what a simple act of kindness can do.
